Six Month Check Up

In my exhausted state last week I forgot to mention that we took Samantha in for her 6 month doctor appointment. Seems that she is staying steady in the weight and getting shorter. Maybe she will be more like her mom after all. She now weighs 17 pounds (75 percentile) and is 25 inches long (25 percentile). The doctor told us to start feeding her solids. So far we have given her rice cereal and oatmeal which she has been extremely uninterested in. Later this week we will try some sweet potatoes.

Knock on wood...but the past three nights she has slept through the night again without waking up. I'm not quite sure what to think. Still no teeth but she seems to be in better spirits. As long as she is sleeping we are all happy!

You know, when you switch to solid food, her poop will start stinking after about a week, and it will stay stinky forever.

Glad to hear she's sleeping again! Good luck with food; she'll probably love some of them. Think about it... would *you* like that rice cereal crap?

@drpasser - I promise you that NOTHING is worse than formula poops!

I laughed & laughed at the poop comments. If you want to see orange poop, feed her carrots. :)
Love you, Grandma
