We had an incredible vacation to Hawaii. Samantha was a rock star. On the flight there she played, slept and ate - never cried a minute. Once we arrived to Hawaii it was quickly clear that Samantha enjoyed the island living. Her hair curled into wild ringlets, she took long naps and generally was very content the entire time. She is usually a mellow baby but it was even more of an extreme in Hawaii. We shared the same house as others with babies and with Devin and Carina who are expecting their first in August. It was great to get all the kiddos together and be around fun families. When we were around the group as a whole it was, as my friend Josh says, "parenting by village". Everyone passed the babies around and that meant Dave and I could play volleyball, swim in the pool and visit with friends. Overall I couldn't have asked for a better vacation. It was truly relaxing! Samantha finished the trip by sleeping almost the entire flight home. She is our little wonder girl.
